Chesapeake Beach Mid Bay Fishing Report

Quick overview of the Chesapeake Beach area.  A few spot are still being caught right out front of the beach at Old Rock.  Eastern bay north of Poplar Island remains the spot for live lining.  Early morning and late eve has been very good for topwater.  Fishing Creek in chesapeake beach has produced Stripers to 30" in early morning and late eve casting plugs or bottom fishing with blood worms.  Lots of small elwife showing up in the creek as well and is good cut bait for Stripers as well.  If its too windy to hit the bay, you can always hit the back creeks and fill the box.  Reports of good size blues are still being caught and the spanish macs have slowed and headed south.  25-30' of water out front by the radar towers has been the target area for most local guys, jigging, casting, and trolling.  Good luck, be safe and HOOK'EM UP!!
